UTS Gridiron Div 1 2010 Season – Starts Tuesday 15 June

Training for this year’s 2010 season campaign will commence Tuesday 15th June @ Powells Creek Reserve, Concord West (map) from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

Just bring your football boots as will be only running some preseason conditioning drills.

The Coaches for the Season are:

Preliminary Final – UTS Titans V Seahawks

Scores were locked 22 – 22 when time expired in regulation to force the game into overtime.

Unfortunately in the third period of overtime the UTS Titans failed to convert there two point conversion attempt losing the game 46 – 44.

The win by the Seahawks means they advance to the 2010 Colts Grand Final to take on the Cubs. Good Luck and Congratulations to both teams.

Major Semi-Final – UTS Titans V Cubs

UTS Titans ventured into the Sydney University to take on the cubs but came up short losing 42 points to 22.

The UTS Titans now take on the Seahawks in the Preliminary Final.

Qualification Final – UTS Titans V Chiefs

UTS Titans came away with a narrow victory beating the Chiefs 28 points to 26 @ Kyeemagh RSL.

The UTS Titans now advance to Major Simi-Final to take on Sydney University Cubs.

They will take on the Chiefs @ St George Friday 7 May with kick off scheduled for 9:00pm

In the first every competition game between to the two UTS Colts Teams the UTS Spartans came out on top.

UTS Spartans (22) defeated the UTS Titans (20)

Congratulations to the UTS Spartans who also took out the “Caceres Shield”. The Shield will be presented to them at the UTS Colts Presentation later in year.

Shake off the winter blues! Come down & play Flag Football.

Get your team together and come sign up.

This is minimal contact version of Gridiron (no helmets, no pads, no tackling), and both Male and Female are welcome to play.

TEAM & PLAYER REGISTRATIONS: Thursday 29th April @ 7:00 pm

WHERE: Powells Creek Reserve (off Victoria Ave, Concord West – near Concord West Station) (Refer to the attached map)
(Directions for driving are to turn into Wellbank St off Concord Rd, Then turn Right into Queen St, Left into the Pomeroy Rd, At the Lights turn right into George St & Victoria Ave is the last street at the end) Via Public transport the closest Train Station is Concord West.

COST: $60 per player for Individual registrations – A Discount of $20 will apply to those players registered from the Div 1 2009 & Colts 2010 Sides.
* Discounts will also be given to Advantage Members from UTS – This only applies to UTS Student Members*
$550 for a Team Registration (Team must have the maximum amount of 10 players & compiled by yourself)

PAYMENT OPTIONS: PayPal, Cash or Direct deposit
(All payment must be paid in full prior to the start of the first round of matches 6th May)

SEASON: Thursday nights 7:00 pm (throughout May, June & July)
