31 Jan 2011 16:42 by UTS Gridiron. Posted in Club News. Comments Off

The International Federation of American Football (IFAF) has selected 35 athletes from 12 countries for the IFAF Development team as part of the annual Team USA vs. the World event in Austin, Texas.  The aim of bringing together the group of international American football prospects is to identify and develop candidates for future World Team rosters.

Three players on the 2011 IFAF Development Team will be elevated to the roster for the World Team that will take on the U.S Under 19 National Team assembled by USA Football on Wednesday, February 2 at Austin Westlake Stadium.  The World Team features the best players from the 59 IFAF member countries.

The IFAF Development Team is taking part in practices in Austin with the World Team this week, enabling the coaching staff to select the three players who best fit the needs of the roster and are likely to make an impact against Team USA.

The 2011 World Development Team roster is comprised of players representing American Samoa (6), Australia (4), France (1), Germany (1), Italy (1), Japan (7), Mexico (1), Netherlands (2), Norway (2), Serbia (3), Spain (2), and Sweden (5).

Rate and Review our Podcast on iTunes

6 Feb 2010 18:25 by Bren Barnes. Posted in Club News. Comments Off

Hey guys, while Jamie and myself continue to put together videos to put up on the UTS Gridiron Podcast, it’s time for you to help out our club.

If you subscribe to the video podcast via iTunes (which is probably the easiest way to go), why not head over to the iTunes store and give it a rating – five stars of course! If you’re in the mood, why not write a quick review and let people know what you think of the podcast.

Your rating and reviews help us gain visibility within the iTunes store, which introduces new players to the sport, which in turn gains more new players to our club.

And of course, the UTS Gridiron podcast will always remain completely free, and compatible to play on your iPod, iPhone, and most other portable media devices.
