UTS Gridiron

UTS start the season off with a dream start against the Seahawks. On the opening kick off Curtis Busseler forced a fumble which was recovered. The first offensive play saw running back Gabriel Marambio virtually go through untouched to opening the scoring. The Seahawks got themselves back into the game by scoring on a deep pass play and were successful on the 2 point conversion and lead at the end of the 1st qtr 8 -6. Jamie Weeks then ran down the sideline and scored to regain the lead and at the break UTS 14 to 8. The 3rd qtr was scoreless and then in the 4th qtr Jamie Weeks picked up his 2nd rushing TD to extend the lead 20 to 8 and that’s how this one finished up.

Next game for UTS is Saturday 3 September against the Pirates on the Central Coast.

UTS will open its Div 1 season campaign Saturday 27 August when it takes on the Sutherland Seahawks.
The game is being played at Cranebrook Park, Cranebrook with kick off scheduled for 10am.

There will be a total of four (4) games being played at Cranebrook Park that day as Gridiron NSW launch the 2011 Season with a Gala Day.
