UTS Gridiron

UTS Gridiron’s Division One wide receiver, Patrick Raveloson earned the NSWGFL most valuable player (MVP) at the 2004 NSWGFL League presentation night. More commonly known by his nickname, Zee, he has been an integral part of UTS Gridiron’s offense for the past four seasons. His amazing athletic ability and knack for reeling-in dazzling catches earned him this well-deserved honor. Zee has also been selected to play for the NSW and Australian team. He is the first player from UTS Gridiron to win the league MVP.

A big congratulations also goes to linebacker, Lucas Marquardt for making the runner up list. Well done!

Congratulations to the Sydney Uni Lions for winning the 2004 Division One NSWGFL. They defeated the Western Sydney Pirates 32-7 at Campbelltown Stadium.

If you have taken part in this years Div One 2004 campaign, we have a BBQ & Equipment Hire return taking place on Saturday, 11th December.

Where: Unit 12 / 30-32 Beaconsfield St, Alexandria.
Time: 9:30am start and a BBQ lunch has also been planned. BYO beverages.
What to bring: ALL EQUIPMENT given to you (Helmet, Shoulder Pads, 2 Hips Pads, 1 Tailbone Pad, 2 Thigh Pads, 2 Knee Pads, Belt, Training Jersey & Training Paints) You must have all equipment signed-off to be refunded your $50. State Training-squad players are to still bring their equipment to be checked and replaced.

The UTS Gridiron end of year trip to Weeroona Caravan Park on the 17th, 18th & 19th December. The cost is $30 a night, please contact John “Porridge” Kritikos know which days you will be able to attend. Its not compulsory but it makes for a relaxing time and a good chance for us all to unwind before a busy Christmas break.

The Annual League Presentation night will be held at the Bronte Bowling Club, 16 Wallace Street, Waverley on Sunday, December 5th at 12:30pm.

Cost is $30 per head. This year will be a smorgasbord type lunch.

The menu will include:
Beef, Lamb and Chicken Drumsticks, Gourmet Potato Salad, Home style Coleslaw, Vegetable Medley, Creamy Pasta, Fried Rice, Potato, Egg & Bacon, Deluxe Garden Salad, Classic Cheesecake, Chocolate Mud Cake, Fruit Salad, Pavlova.
